Indications

Used to treat mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and reduce snoring by repositioning the mandible to maintain an open airway during sleep.

Contraindications

Patients with acrylic or resin allergies
Severe skeletal discrepancies or advanced OSA needing CPAP or surgical management
Non-compliant patients unable to tolerate mandibular advancement or nightly wear

Limitations

Recommended for short- to medium-term therapeutic use; long-term effects on occlusal relation should be monitored
Retention depends on precise fit of arches and mandibular adjustment; lateral exercises may alter alignment over time

Preparation

Submit intraoral scan(s) of both arches including bite registration in protruded position. Specify desired mandibular advancement (typically 5–7 mm forward) and vertical opening (about 3–4 mm) for CAD‑based design. No physical models needed.

Policies & Warranty

Godent provides a 1 year limited warranty covering fabrication or material defects. If appliance failure results from lab error and is returned within warranty period with case prescription, Godent will remake or repair it free of charge. All design files and scan data are securely stored to enable future reproductions or clinical modifications upon request.
